The Bassano Beavers
The Bassano Beavers are a USPHL Premier junior hockey club based in Bassano, Alberta, Canada. Founded in 2025 as a charter member of the league's new Alberta Division, the Beavers begin play in the 2025–2026 season — competing against teams across the United States and Canada in the largest junior hockey league in the world.
Our mission is simple: develop young men as hockey players and as people. We believe in a player-first environment, strong community ties, and giving every athlete the tools they need to advance to the next level whether that's NCAA, ACHA, or even professional hockey.
The Beavers are proud to call Bassano home. The town has embraced the program from day one, from the fans filling Bassano Arena on game nights to the billet families who open their homes to players from across North America.

Parking & Directions
Bassano Arena is easily accessible and surrounded by free parking. Bassano is a small, walkable community so if you're staying anywhere in town, the arena is likely within a few minutes on foot.
Free parking is available directly in front of and beside the arena on 6 Avenue. This is the closest and most accessible lot for all spectators.

About the USPHL
The United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) is the largest amateur ice hockey league in North America. Founded in 2012, the USPHL was built to provide a clear pathway for aspiring athletes to reach their highest potential all the way from youth and junior hockey to college and professional levels.
The USPHL Premier Division, where the Beavers compete, is the largest junior hockey division in the world, with more than 75 teams from coast to coast. Players are ages 16–21 and compete for advancement to NCAA Division I, Division III, and ACHA programs.
The league has helped more than 10,000 players advance to collegiate and professional programs worldwide. With showcase events throughout the season, Premier players gain significant exposure to college scouts at all levels.

Bassano, Alberta
Bassano is a welcoming small town of approximately 1,400 people located in the County of Newell, about 140 km southeast of Calgary on the Trans-Canada Highway. Known for its tight-knit community, strong agricultural roots, and deep love of hockey, Bassano has proven to be a fantastic home for a junior team.
Bassano residents have embraced the Beavers since day one. Billet families, local businesses, and fans have made this one of the most supportive junior hockey environments in Alberta.
Located along the Trans-Canada Highway between Calgary and Medicine Hat, Bassano sits in the County of Newell. Direct highway access means players and families can travel to games across the region with ease.
The community has a proud hockey tradition. Bassano Arena has been a gathering place for generations of Bassano families and is central to the town's identity.
Bassano has elementary and high schools, a hospital, grocery stores, restaurants, and all essential services. Players have everything they need within a short drive of wherever they're billeted.
Located directly on the Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 1). Calgary International Airport is approximately 90 minutes west, making it straightforward for families to visit throughout the season.
