Eligibility Requirements
The USPHL Premier is open to players ages 16–21. Players from Canada, the United States, and internationally are welcome to try out for the Beavers.
Age Requirement
16–21 Years Old
Players must be 16 by September 15 of the season start year and no older than 21.
Citizenship
Open to All
Canadian, American, and international players are all welcome to try out.
Academic Status
No Restriction
High school and post-secondary students welcome. We support academic progress.
Experience Level
Tier II / Tier III Junior
We primarily recruit from AJHL, BCHL, SJHL, MJHL, AAA Midget, and similar programs.
Medical
Physical Required
All players must provide a current physical and be cleared to play before the season begins.
Housing
Billet Provided
All players are placed with screened, approved billet families in Bassano.

Bassano is a small community of approximately 1,400 with big hearts. Nestled between Calgary and Brooks on the Trans Canada Highway, you can expect to have the whole community rooting you on every night!
Billet Family
Every player is matched with a screened, approved host family before they arrive. You'll have a real home — not just a room.

The Bassano School can offer educational resources for students studying remotely.

A small, safe town. Players can focus on hockey and school without big-city distractions.
Easy for Families to Visit
60 minutes from Calgary International Airport. Parents can make day trips throughout the season.
