The Bassano Beavers put up a valiant fight against the OLCN Scouts Sunday night at Bassano Arena, but ultimately fell short in a high-scoring game, with the final score being 7-5 in favor of the Scouts.

The Beavers, despite being outshot 36-33, showcased an impressive offensive performance. Anthony Fraser, in particular, stood out with his exceptional play, scoring two of the five goals for the Beavers. The team’s powerplay unit also had a solid performance, converting one out of four opportunities.

On the other end of the ice, Beavers’ goaltender Jovin Manhas faced a barrage of shots, making 29 saves on 36 attempts. Despite the loss, Manhas’ performance in net was commendable, and he will undoubtedly be looking to bounce back in the next game.

For the Scouts, Taylor Gajewski was the star of the night, netting two goals. The Scouts’ powerplay unit, however, struggled to convert their lone opportunity into a goal.

Looking forward, the Beavers will have a chance to redeem themselves as they face off against OLCN once again on Sunday, September 27th at 3:30pm at Bassano Arena. The Beavers will undoubtedly be looking to tighten up their defense and capitalize on their offensive opportunities in their upcoming rematch.
